There are several hours free time included which you can spend all at Whakarewarewa, or perhaps choose to spend time at the Rotorua Lakefront or visit the Rotorua Gondola or Rainbow Springs (Gondola & Rainbow Springs admissions not included).

Whakarewarewa – The Living Maori Village, is one of the most unique geothermal and cultural sites in the world. This a truly authentic experience, a real Maori village, where the local Maori people live traditionally using natural geothermal energy in daily activities, from cooking in the bubbling waters and steam, to heating their homes and bathing in the therapeutic and refreshing waters. You will be able to view the geothermal wonders of Whakarewarewa Valley, including the world famous Pohutu geyser, boiling mud-pools, steam vents and bubbling pools with names such as Parekohuru and Korotiotio. Try one of the hourly guided tours – these are entertaining and informative with a focus on giving everyone an understanding of the Maori history, culture and the and how the villagers live in the challenging Whakarewarewa Geothermal field and the significance of protecting it for future generations.  For over 200 years the Tuhourangi/Ngati Wahiao tribe have welcomed visitors into their backyard. 

Included is a traditional Maori cultural performance where you will witness see the famous Haka, as well as Maori dance & song. (performances at 11:15am and 2:00pm)
